A Customer Service Associate (CSA) provides customer support by helping customers with issues, answering questions, and resolving problems. CSAs may work in a variety of settings, including call centers, banks, and airports.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support: Help customers with product and service issues
Handle complaints: Listen to customer concerns and address complaints and returns
Explain products and services: Provide detailed information about products and services
Review customer accounts: Check customer accounts and transactions to resolve issues
Follow up with customers: Follow up with customers after a solution has been presented
Document customer interactions: Document customer calls, inquiries, and actions
Escalate issues: Refer customers to the appropriate department when needed
Research company products and services: Stay up to date with company products, services, and processes
Recommend improvements: Identify opportunities to improve processes and products based on customer needs
Communication
CSAs communicate with customers in-person, over the phone, through email, chat, or on social media
